Clueless John

Well the much bally who'd VP debate is on tap for tonight. I know I'm quite fearful Gwen Ifill will walk on to the stage in St Louis, and start reading excerpts from the manuscript of her new book. In the background I can listen to Morning Joe Scarborough, go through his mantra for the umpteenth time, imploring McCain just to float Palin between Limbaugh and Hannity. Righttt... So your going to have the first female Republican VP get interviewed by two guys who pride themselves on being the unheard voice of misogynist nationwide, exclusively? Possibly it hasn't occurred to Joe these guys don't have a big fan base with women. Make no mistake, Katie Couric was speaking for a lot of women, when she asked the question she did. A female has to be twice as clever, and work twice has hard to succeed in most male dominated professions. The Monday morning quaterbacks will point this out November 5th. Why did McCain handle Palin the way he did? Perhaps the answer lies in McCains background with women. Nice to have around, better if their blond, even better if their rich. Possibly he didn't bother to ask working women of America, if this is the image they want portrayed of who they are. By the way, they cast 54% of the votes in the last Presidential election. Shara Palin should have been allowed to walk straight in to the volley of the press, much like Hillary has. Sure she'd make some mistakes, but she'd also learn. A tip, pick up the phone and call Saturday Night Live. A five minute skit with Shara Palin and Tina Fey could turn this to the advantage of the Republicans overnight. Or did we forget how Hillary handled this kind of thing, it ain't rocket science folks. Good luck, Straight Talk John.

Too Smart

So once again the punditry of the US media has found a fresh reason to be skeptical of Barrack Obama. Sure the kids not familiar with all the Washington Hot Spots. Valid point. Now the new fear is, he maybe too smart. Now call me crazy, but didn't these jokers float" The guy you can have a beer with idea", with the last president. The opinion polls bear out the fruit of that idea, no thanks.
OB is just to uppity for a black man? Shouldn't have worked so hard in college? I think we have crossed the Rubicon people. The opinion media, especially conservative doesn't have a clue. McCain's latest complaint, he's not getting any news coverage. From what I've seen, he should count his blessings. The ad shown on the news, all but tried to paint Obama as a lazy shuffling negro, hanging out at crack head park, playing basketball all day. He didn't have time to visit the troops at Remstein, because he was to busy playing basketball. Funny, the footage from the ad was shot by the Army in Kuwait. Showed the good Senator from IL playing hoops with the troops. The Bastard! How dare he break up the monotony of the guys, far from friends and family, with a friendly game of Bball. Sometimes I can't believe just how bad news has become in the States. Listen to two different round table discussions, bring up the fact that the ad was false, and misleading. Hey, but never mind, will this one get the flat stupid vote swung in favor of the Republican candidate. I hold out hope for the future fellow travelers, and I like the counterintuitive tack of the folks at MSNBC. There's a market for pointing out just how bad news has become. Still waiting on the straight talk express people.

The End

As the grey dawn breaks, on the Clinton campaign. Hillary is faced with the unthinkable, she lost. Punditry in the Media will claim well if only she did this, if only she did that. Well this blogger thinks she did nothing wrong. I think as a nation we outgrew the Clinton's. Hey, great couple a few issues, join the club. They held the White House for 8 years and did a fair job. They followed conventional wisdom, wrote books, gave speeches and Hillary makes a damn good Senator. The problem is the nation, as a collective made a decision. We no longer think greed is good. We are taking a look around and saying, "Wow we really screwed this up." We really have only one person to thank for that revelation. George W Bush. Without this naked example of everything that is wrong with America, staring into the Nation, and letting us all know he thinks were all dumber than a box of rocks. We probably would have just kept on walking down the garden path that led to Fascism. GW became the tipping point. So as a nation we grow a little wiser with age. Let the History Books recall this time. "We the People" decided we didn't like the image in the mirror. We all decided it was time for a makeover.

Well were in full spin cycle now folks. McCain has been anointed by the dancing chimp in the White House, and Barrack and Hillary are going to suck the air out of the room till Weather-vane McCain suffocates. It's almost laughable to watch as the cable news, pretend to care, what the chief blogger at the conservative blog Townhall.com thinks. I was watching Morning Joe, and listened as this half wit, bragged about the pick the Republicans had made for the party. Man thing sure do change in a week. Thank God, I wasn't there to pose some questions to the little grinning flip flopper. "Sir how often do you completely change your point of view, and is it before or after the money men at the RNC call you." What nobody, on right-wing anything is talking about is, you just got played by the Democrats. Yup, remember the talking point how the Clinton's suck all the air out of the room. Surprise win or lose Hillary is playing the game, and playing it well. Oh goodness, it'll be after April 15th before I can get you a copy of my tax returns. So what do you think the big buzz in the media will be, John McCain's managery of pets? Yes that's right folks now it's going to be the controversy between Barrack and Hillary over those mysterious tax returns. Hey, live with it guys you just armed and positioned the most formidable weapon you have in the enemies hands.
